Easy Access to NEJM from Anywhere with Google Scholar CASA
January 23, 2019

Thanks to Google Scholar CASA (Campus Activated Subscriber Access), users can conduct a literature search and have one-click access to articles without having to go through off-campus authentication systems.
Here’s how it works: when a student or researcher connects to your institution’s network and searches for articles using Google Scholar, a link between your institution and the patron’s device/browser or Google account is automatically created. When users access Google Scholar from off-site using the same device/browser or Google account, this link enables seamless authentication and one-click access to the full article on NEJM.org. Access through CASA lasts for 30 days before reauthentication through your network is required. Usage of NEJM content through CASA will be included in COUNTER reports.
