Help Medical Students Build Knowledge and Find Community
NEJM Resident 360 engages students too, with valuable learning, insight, and opportunities to connect
January 9, 2018
The site’s Student Corner is a good home base for students. Here, students find posts created for them, including “How to Choose a Specialty” and “Applying to Residency”, and tips for communicating with peers, senior physicians, and patients. All content aims to alleviate anxiety, so students can focus on learning.
Students can listen to “A Day in the Life,” podcasts and hear other students interview physicians in different fields for an insider’s view of that specialty. They can also participate in new “Discussions” that are continually added, and even take a leadership role as a student moderator, which involves asking good questions and keeping the discussion moving forward.
