NEJM Knowledge+ Question of the Week is Hard to Resist

Fast and fun case-based challenge draws trainees and lifelong learners

Soon after NEJM Group began posting a “Question of the Week” to introduce the novel learning tool NEJM Knowledge+, the Question’s popularity quickly sky-rocketed. In a typical week, some 15,000 participants — students, trainees, and experienced clinicians — test themselves with this fast, informative challenge.

Each week, editors select one item from our bank of more than 2,400 questions. NEJM Knowledge+ is an adaptive, personalized learning tool used for board preparation, CME, and lifelong learning.

For the weekly question, one unexpected bonus has emerged: high-quality discussion often ensues, with dozens of respondents sharing knowledge and experience relating to the common — and not-so-common — clinical problems described.
